REGENERATIVE

We believe that buildings don’t just provide shelter but they also support occupant health and the environment we live in. To achieve optimum health of the occupant and positive environment, we need to go beyond Sustainable design and look towards Regenerative Practices.

Regenerative means to regrow or be restored. Regenerative Design goes ahead of Sustainable Design where the net-zero building not only uses fewer resources but also enables social and ecological systems to maintain a healthy state to evolve.

At GRID our focus is not only on offsetting the resources that we use but of replenishing and bettering our environment. Regenerative Architecture builds a holistic approach of incorporating the site, energy, systems, flora and fauna and the building. We believe in approaching and treating every project as a part of nature and designing resources like energy, clean water and food which allows the project to be regenerative. For Instance, producing and storing energy onsite where it can serve as small-scale energy resource not only for the building but also the surrounding communities, which reduces our reliance on the utility grid.

In an effort to help our clients understand the Regenerative Design Practices, we have developed the DNA of Sustainable Elements, which provides a holistic approach of Natural Elements, Health & Wellness, Community, Energy, and Material & Resources.
